The demographic of the audience is: 

Viewers are individuals who enjoy movies, they already view Independent Films and are early adopters and trend-setters according to the Independent Film Channel.

Audiences differs dramatically from film to film - people who view one type genre are probably somewhat different from those who view another. 

According to the Independent Film Channel, of the stats that apply to their viewers, and subsequently to ours, 34 percent are 18 to 34 years of age, 29 percent are college grads, 43 percent have annual household incomes of $60,000 or more and 30 percent are more likely to have household incomes of $100K or more than the average American (as of 2001).

Viewers are more urban and suburban (as opposed to rural), more likely to have Web access, more likely to buy things through the Internet, and more ethnically diverse than the average movie watcher that goes to a theater to view. 

Independent Film viewers are accustomed to a wider variety of entertainment choices, making them more receptive to new kinds of films. Baby Boomers, with their literary aspirations, are attracted to the artsy, niche-oriented nature of independent films.
